چکیده

This paper is aimed at extending the H∞ Bounded Real Lemma to stochastic systems under random disturbances with imprecisely known probability distributions. The statistical uncertainty is measured in entropy theoretic terms using the mean anisotropy functional. The disturbance attenuation capabilities of the system are quantified by the anisotropic norm which is a stochastic counterpart of the H∞ norm. A state-space sufficient criterion for the anisotropic norm of a linear discrete time invariant system to be bounded by a given threshold value is derived. The resulting Strict Anisotropic Norm Bounded Real Lemma involves an inequality on the determinant of a positive definite matrix and a linear matrix inequality. It is shown that slight reformulation of these conditions allows the anisotropic norm of a system to be efficiently computed via convex optimization.

Anisotropic Norm Bounded Real Lemma for Linear Discrete Time Varying Systems

We consider a finite horizon linear discrete time varying system whose input is a random noise with an imprecisely known probability law. The statistical uncertainty is described by a nonnegative parameter a which constrains the anisotropy of the noise as an entropy theoretic measure of deviation of the actual noise distribution from Gaussian white noise laws with scalar covariance matrices. Th...

A nonsmooth strict bounded real lemma

In the theory of linear H control, the strict bounded real lemma plays a critical role because it provides a connection between the stabilizing solutions to the H Riccati equations and the stability and disturbance attenuation of the closed loop system. Nonlinear versions of the strict bounded real lemma are also important in nonlinear H control theory. In this paper we investigate the extensio...

Delay2dependent H-infinity control f or linear descriptor systems with delay in state

A bst ract : A delay2dependent Hinfinity control for descriptor systems with a state2delay is investigated. The purpose of the problem is to design a linear memoryless state2feedback controller such that the resulting closed2loop system is regular ,impulse free and stable with an H-infinity norm bound. Firstly , a delay2dependent bounded real lemma (B RL) of the time2delay descriptor systems is...

An Alternative to the Youla Parameterization for H∞ Controller Design

All H∞ controllers of a SISO LTI system are parameterized thanks to the relation between the Bounded Real Lemma and the Positive Real Lemma. This new parameterization shares the features of Youla parameterization, namely the convexity of H∞ norm constraints for the closed-loop transfer functions. However, by contrast to Youla parameterization, it can deal with any controller order and any contr...
